Extremely high learning curve in this one. Go to the bathroom, or think too long on what just happened, and you'll miss something important. I thought The Goblet of Fire felt rushed -- I was wrong. This one felt rushed. Some scenes consist of two spoken sentences. To amplify the rushed feeling, they put these scenes back to back to back. In the movie's defense, I will say that it might be intentional -- it might be a device used to create mood, but I don't think it is. I think there is so much information that's needed to be told to the viewer that there's simply not enough time to waste on background conversation, so it's cut to the minimum. Since everything's happening so quickly, multiple viewings might be required to catch everything.
That's my biggest complaint about the movie. But it's also my greatest compliment. Like I said... there is an extremely high learning curve to this movie. How many movies can you say that about? I'm going to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, but the best thing about this movie is that it will make you see things from a completely different perspective.
Not the best movie out there because of bad planning and bad editing, but its heart is in the right place. It has a goal, and it accomplishes it. Two snaps up.
