Th-Thong Th-Thong-Thong-Thong.

So... there's a lot of discussion amongst the company about when exactly I should go to school. There are classes next week (from Tusday until Friday), and there are classes in October (from Tuesday the 28th to Friday the 31st -- Halloween!). We can't decide on which set of classes to send me to. I'm kind of uncomfortable about going to the more recent class, because I'm simply not prepared for it, and because I'm fucking broke. On the plus side, my sister tells me a good guy's teaching this particular class and he'd make sure I'd get a lot out of it.

Pros for the later class -- I'd have more time to prepare... as it is, I know little to nothing about the thing I'm going to go learn about, and I'd like to know SOMETHING about it so I don't just run in blindly. If I had a month to fuck around with it I'd be a lot more comfortable. Also, I'd have a little time to save some money so I could enjoy Atlanta while I was there. It's like I said... I don't get many vacations. And while a weekend trip to Atlanta doesn't sound like much, it's better than nothing.

There's also the fact that we currently just plain aren't prepared to send me off for a week. I like to keep a handful of spare printers of each kind of register on hand and ready to go in case a customer's printer breaks and they need it ASAP... we just swap out the printer and they're fixed immediately. But as of right now, I don't have ANY spare printers. We've been swamped! I haven't had time to fix anything. And as soon as I fix something, I've had to use it. My sister's boyfriend is supposed to help me with this, but he doesn't work most of the time. If a customer were to crash right now, there would be no spare printers to fix 'em with. I really don't see as this is a good time to send me to Atlanta for a week.

But... common sense has never won out in this business. Lemme give you an example of the common sense at my place of work: My sister ordered DSL service for her office, right? SHE DOESN'T HAVE A COMPUTER. Brilliance.

Anyway... I came home from work today and went straight to bed. I got up at 10:30 to eat. While eating I checked email and did this. Now that the eating and the writing are done, I'm going back to bed. Be good, kids.
